Master the block merging mechanics in a few simple steps
The upcoming block is displayed at the bottom-left as NEXT. Tap a column on the grid to drop the block into that column. Blocks fall to the lowest empty row in that column — just like Tetris!
When two or more blocks with the same number touch each other (horizontally or vertically), they instantly merge into a single block with double the value. 2+2=4 → 4+4=8 → 8+8=16 → ... → 1024+1024=2048
A smart block placement can trigger a chain reaction! When blocks merge, the resulting block may match its new neighbors — triggering another merge automatically. Plan these chain reactions to multiply your points and clear board space!
Keep the grid from filling up by constantly creating merges. Spreading low-value blocks randomly will clog the board. Group similar numbers together to set up powerful chain merges and always keep rows open for new blocks.
Your ultimate goal is to merge blocks all the way up to 2048 — but don't stop there! The game continues until the grid is completely full with no adjacent matching blocks remaining. Push for the highest score possible!
Powerful tools to turn the tide when you're in trouble — spend gems wisely!
Regret your last move? Undo reverses your most recent block placement, giving you another chance to find a better spot on the board.
Discard the current block from your queue entirely. Perfect for getting rid of an inconvenient block and moving on to the next one.
Tap any block on the grid to destroy it and free up that space. Use it strategically to remove a block that's blocking a crucial merge opportunity.
Shuffle the upcoming blocks in your queue to randomize their order. Use this when none of the upcoming blocks seem helpful for your current board situation.
